Your dog is very important to me. Paws and thank you would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your dog's grooming experience as safe and pleasant as possible. Your dog’s safety and comfort is my number one priority.

1. Accidents: Grooming equipment is sharp, and although I use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident.
2.Health or Medical Problems and Senior Dogs: Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. Grooming procedures can be stressful, especially for a senior or ill pet. Because these pets have a greater chance of injury, they will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort.
3. Veterinarian Authorization-Medical Emergencies: This release gives Paws and thank you full authorization to seek medical treatment from the nearest veterinarian in the case of any medical emergencies. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the dog’s owner upon signing this agreement.
4. Current Vaccinations: Dogs must be up to date on Rabies. Proof of rabies must be given or sent via email prior to a grooming appointment. Please have copies of vaccination records for our file.

5. Dangerous or Aggressive Dog-Refusal of Service: Paws and thank you has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your dog is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Paws and thank you have the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after grooming and clients will be charged a full grooming session fee.

6. Fear Free and Consent Based Grooming: A full groom may take up to 1-2 hours. Your dog may need to stop due to stress, anxiety or fear. It is not always in the best interest of your dog’s well-being to continue even with breaks. A full session fee will apply whether the grooming is completed. In this case, shorter sessions on a more frequent basis and training sessions will be recommended.
7. Use of Muzzles: Muzzling does not harm your animal and protects both the animal and the groomer. Paws and thank you will not muzzle unless the dog has had prior muzzle training.

8. Matted Coats: Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in a dog’s coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the dog's skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestations. Paws and thank you will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to skin growths trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After- effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to regrow. In some cases, dogs may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense by scheduling regular grooming appointments. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, by signing below, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure, and any risk. There will be an additional charge for this process. The additional charge can be estimated prior to appointment.

9. Assumption of Risk: In-home grooming requires the use of your home and equipment necessary to bath and groom your dog (bathroom, floor, tub, sink, showerhead, etc.) I may also ask for your assistance in holding your dog while bathing or grooming. Paws and thank you is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, and damage of any kind that may arise out of or in connection with my services.

10. Cancellations/No call, No Show: I ask that any cancellations are made at least 24 business hours in advance.
11. Payment : Payment is due after each grooming session. I accept cash, check, Venmo or Zelle.
12. Satisfaction: Your satisfaction and your dog's well-being are important to me. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, I will be happy to make any adjustments. Any return visits will be treated as a new appointment and clients will be charged a grooming fee.

13. Photographs: This release authorizes paws and thank you to take photos of your pet for client file, company website and social media. All photos taken are the property of Paws and thank you.
I have reviewed this Service Contract for accuracy and understand the contents of this contract. I affirm that I am the rightful legal owner of the dog(s) for which services are being rendered. I authorize this signed contract to be valid approval for future grooming services, permitting paws and thank you to accept reservations or emails for service without additional signed contracts or written authorization. I understand that pricing is subject to change. I have read, signed, and agreed to the above.​​​​​​
